Verena Freyschmidt
The artistic work of Verena Freyschmidt moves in the field of drawing, painting and wall installation. Her materials are mainly paper, pen and scissors. She takes lines, structures and formations from what she has seen and remembered and places them in new contexts. She creates large-format paper cuts, which are both free artistic creations and impressions of nature. Like organic processes, fractal structures conquer the space in a growing way. She is interested in the nature of things, their structure and elementary form. For her, this approach has an exploratory character. She is interested in the exploration of structures, of organizations and connections. Predominantly she searches for these in the processes of creation of nature and the natural.
Born 1975 in Frankfurt/Main. Lives and works in Hanau and Offenbach/Main.
