Daniela Wesenberg
Daniela Wesenberg makes fine, fragile, partly fragile appearing drawings, sculptures and installations. In exploring different materials and objects, their static, tactile and aesthetic properties, the artist examines nature and cultural differences in the perception and memory of landscapes. She is interested in the landscape as a system, to the structure and form of their elements, their alleged stability and the fragile balance in which landscapes and spaces in it.
The drawings on paper built in series and variations, are made highly concentrated with many fine lines. Through repetition and multiplication graphical or organic forms result in fantastic landscapes, crystalline and organic forms.
Born 1973 in Thuringia. Lives and works in Hamburg.
